Elaine, who has her own flickr photos, came to visit my photo’s and kindly left a comment. It turns out she has a blog as well and I found two interesting blog posts. One will be of general interest while the other won’t be!

dumpr: fun with your photos.

Here’s my original photo…

And here’s what dumpr did with it. The nice thing about the website is that everything is automatic and the mashed-up photos are automatically uploaded to your flickr account (if you want).

Considering the current weather in Dublin, the second blog post is very timely.

I posted a comment at the time and he kindly replied. I want to return to it later to add my tuppence-worth and am using co.mment as a kind of bookmark service. Let’s see what happens… BTW, he’s had similar problems with UPS/Nightline.

I’d like to announce the arrival of the newest widget to the ever-growing group of widgets that are hanging around here. We’re calling it co.mments for the moment but god knows what Auntie Mary will think. It’s brand-new, a prototype really, and still needs to grow and develop and learn a lot. It’s completely bald (native installation) and still needs to learn how to walk before it can run.

Or is that me I’m talking about?

Anyway, in the same way that all new babies are ugly (be honest, they are!!), my co.mment widget should grow into a beautiful thing of beauty. If it doesn’t, I’ll blame it on ‘her‘ side of the family…

If I understand their website, this co.mment widget allows you to see what <strike>comments</strike> rants I’d posted on other sites.

[Edit] – I’ve just re-read what I wrote and I should point out that the technology/copyright/IP etc belongs to the co.mments people!
