There’s no easy answer, I’m afraid. Nobody answer’s the ‘regular’ numbers so I phoned their HQ in East Point Business Park (01 245 8000)and basically just blagged my way until I got someone sympathetic.

I can’t remember her name now but she lived in the same Dublin area as me and that was a good starting point. She worked in the accounts dept and was sympathetic.

To be honest, I don’t know if she acutally helped. I made literally dozens of calls to dozens of people so it may have been a coincidence that she and the solution arrived at the same time. Certainly, nobody in NTL admitted knowing her.

Getting SKY is probably the answer – I think they have C4 now.

P.S. This 2005 document lists a Graham Sutherland as the M.D. in East Point Business Park. Perhaps you could email him or send him a registered letter. He won’t fix it himself, of course, but it might speed up the resolution of your problem.

I suspected it wasn’t real anyway – nobody feels that strongly about their TV provider!
