Walking on water

This photo was taken in Malahide, Co Dublin on an autumn Monday afternoon. There were an awful lot of people walking on the promenade and on the beach. It was mostly couples and groups of immigrant workers. At one point I got stuck behind a fat woman (sorry but she was) and her male partner. She was berating him because he was ‘so closed‘ and, literally in the next breath, ‘…and then there’s your mother…‘. Oh shit, scary stuff!! She genuinely said those words to him. I really felt sorry for him as I think it was the outward leg of their walk. He had, at least, another hour of ‘constructive criticism’ from the ‘love of his life‘.

The original is here (2Mb+)… And, yes, I know there’s a ‘blob’ in the upper middle part of the photo. I’m hoping/praying it’s dust on the lenses, and not actually something on the image sensor itself. I guess it’s part of the learning curve with photography!
