Photo competition

Here’s two photo’s I took yesterday of The Spire in Dublin’s O’Connell Street. The cloud structure behind the spire offered an ideal photo opportunity. A proper photographer would have taken an evocative photo but there was only me and my tiny Fuji Finepix Z2. Although it’s got 5 megapixels, it’s really just a point-and-click camera so it didn’t cope too well with the sunshine.
I’ve tried to tart them up using Google’s Picasa program but the results are mediocre, at best. So I thought it would be a good idea if someone could download one of the original photos from my flickr account (large versions one & two) and jazz them up. Of course, there’s no point in leaving a comment saying you’ve produced better photos without proof. So please post the photo somewhere public or email the photo (or the link) to me. I’ll post everything here, with a credit to you.
A box of Butler’s Irish Handmade chocolate to the winner. There has to be more than one entrant otherwise it’s not a competition!!
Below the four photos are another two that I took earlier in the week. Yes, I am easily pleased by things that shine and glitter in the sun!! Must be my simple mind. These were taken from the opposite end of O’Connell Street. In fact, I was on the southside of the Liffey, and about 5 stories up, so maybe that’s why the photos are better? Things are always better on the southside. Or at least that’s what the bleedin’ southsiders are always telling us northsiders!
