People are talking about an Irish ‘celebrity’ on another site. By ‘celebrity’, I mean he appears on TV and the radio. I don’t like him on the wireless because he talks too much when he should be playing music. I’d gone as far as typing, ‘I listen to radio station X because the only alternative is yer man on radio station Y. I’m sure his mother gave him a name but I can’t remember it. Anyway, he’s completely crap‘. I’m pretty convinced that he pays the radio station to let him broadcast – I can’t believe they pay him to broadcast his ego trip each week. I had a quick look around the jnrl but couldn’t find anything related to this man.
I hit the back button instead of the publish button. Am I a chicken?
In light of my previous post where people’s activities on the net have come back to haunt them, should I be more careful? Those men were complete idiots and I’m hiding behind a nom de’plume (err, check spelling!). But, to be honest, I would say it to his face, in a constructive criticism kind-of-way. I guess I’m not too worried about libel etc as I can’t find anything about him on the internet so he has no reputation to ruin??
I guess I’m more worried about his defenders, assuming Cathy from Castlebar and Michael from Moy have internet access. I just can’t contemplate responding to comments like, ‘he’s not fat, he’s just cuddly’.
