Hard, fast and leaves a stain*

Just back from Glasgow and playing catch-up. Considering the night I had, it was kinda appropriate to read The Swearing Lady’s blog.

How does it go? Long time lurker, first time poster? I’ve been lurking around The Swearing Lady’s blog for awhile yet never made a comment there. It’s really a hilarious read and guaranteed to make you laugh. Her Dance For Me, Boy blog yesterday was a classic. She bemoans how dance music has been corrupted and the ‘young folk’ of today don’t get it. Well, actually to paraphrase, she says that the new music is shite and the people who listen to it are shite (but in an elegant way). Anyone who ever listened to Scooter will surely agree with her.

Here’s a taster of what you can expect:

The dance music my little neighbours listen to with such mindless dribbling enthusiasm is… for want of a better word… evil. It’s not even musical wanking - sure, it’s hard, fast and leaves a stain, but there’s no joy in it. It couldn’t even move your bowels.

Go on, have a look, you know you want to.

*I couldn’t think of a title so shamelessly ‘borrowed’ a phrase from The Swearing Lady’s post. More tomorrow, hopefully original, when I wake up.

Update: Looks like I’m not lurking hard enough. She also writes limericks. Here’s one she wrote recently when she took a break.
