What a strange 2 hours

It’s weird being a manager. For the last 2 hours, all my female business colleagues, or so it seems, have phoned or emailed me to complain about things. One colleague, a ‘junior’, may have made a mistake with a client who’s hopping mad via email.
But that wasn’t enough so now she’s phoned to vent. She actually said, “I’m phoning you rather than the junior because I’ll only shout rude things to her‘. Now the junior is on the defensive (she may have sent a rude email) and getting her retaliation in first. Right now, all I can say is, ‘relax, you’re better get used to this when working for this company‘. Tomorrow should be fun when the investigation begins. We call them client queries rather than client complaints. The client is adamant that her instructions were crystal to do x,y,z but the junior says the instructions were crystal to do a,b,c.
And I’m in the middle. I’m caught between defending my team outside the company but also advocating for my client within the company. It’s weird being a manager.
Don’cha just love it when clients ring at 5.59pm and demand it’s sorted by the morning.
I’ve also got to start replying to the emailed complaints. Still, the weather forecast says the weather should improve as the week progresses so maybe I can be outside when I return the calls/emails?
